Craig Dunlop (//machinesroom.org/members/CraigDunlop) and Peter A. Smith (//machinesroom.org/members/PeterASmith) have spent the last month experimenting in Machines Room as part of their Maker Library One Month Residencies. Craig is Maker Librarian in WorkSpace, Cape Town, South Africa and has spent his time learning digital fabrication techniques, building a plastic shredder, renovating an old plastic extruder and prototyping a joint system. Peter has been exploring the re-use of waste wood materials and manufactured wood, such as plywood and saw dust and finding ways of reversing it back into tree forms.
